    comp problem

My comp went off on its own and not sure what would of caused it. I was sitting here listening to music and the only thing I had running in the background was IRC. Can anyone please help me out ? A year ago I had this same issue. But my comp would go off and try to restart its self, but not fully boot up all the way. I had to replace the mobo, cpu, mem, and gpu. This time it only did it once. Not sure why. But I'm hoping it's not gonna be the same issue as last year.

    1) You weren't in the right irc room.

    2) You won't listen to our advice anyways.

oh yes I will, and I was in the right irc room, just forgot to put xclan in my list of processes. and yes silv, just poof off and then right back up. I went to get some compressed air, because there is a lil bit of dust in it.

try unplugging the computer completely for a min, if that doesn't work, unplug the power supply from the mother board for a few min, and try again

I had same problem with a laptop 2 years ago... thought I had lost the computer, and freaked out. Got to bed and it was fine in the morning... I guess it was an overheat problem or something.
Good lord are there no good games to play?

sounds like it could be heat related. I would take a can of air and dust off your heat sink (the piece that sits on top of your cpu chip). my computer would suddenly shutdown once it hit a certain temp while gaming or doing something cpu intensive.

haha i hate to admit this but there was a ton of dust in it like I told sliv over xfire. The amount that was in there was ridiculous. I used short bursts or air and watched all the crud come out. While doing this, I had to dust my desk off too. I guess that's what happens when you go clean the inside regularly. Thanks for all the info guys. It was most appreciated.. <3 you all
