    Guns, shooting, and reloading?

    Anyone into these?
Trust me. I know what I am doing.

I dont own any guns but, I would love to have a garand. When I was in the Army, I've fired the M16 with the M203 grenade launcher. I've fired the M60 and the LAW. All are obsolete except for the M60 and the M203.

Is that because you can't form chemicals and complicated mechanical parts?

I am into shooting, but not reloading yet.

I just own a Sig 9mm and Benelli 12ga. so ammo is pretty inexpensive.

I am planning to pick up a 1911 and I really want an m14 with Sage stock. I may explore reloading when I pick up a rifle because it's expensive to buy good .308/7.62mm ammo.

My step-bro's dad reloads some ammo because they have .30 cal. Ruger that shoots the same rifle cartridge the M1 Carbine uses. However, loads for that round are either fairly expensive or highly inconsistent. They work fine in the carbine, but in the pistol they really suck.

What kind of Sig do you have? I have 5 Sigs with a 6th on order. Possibly picking up a 7th soon. 4 of the 5 are 9mm. The other is a 45. I prefer West German Sigs, which means I have to buy surplus or used.

30 Carbine is quite expensive to shoot given the relatively little oomph you get.

I have dies for a few calibers, but mainly reload 357 mag and 38 special, since I can vary the load and not worry about cycling issues. I reloaded 9mm for a while but some loads didn't cycle well so I stopped.

I have a Colt Single Action Army replica, a Winchester 1892 replica, and a Winchester 1894, all in 357 magnum. Hence the reloading part.
Trust me. I know what I am doing.

I have a Garand. It's a rebuilt rifle with new receiver, barrel, and gas tube. No collector's value but accurate as hell.

[quote='x[con];197963']What kind of Sig do you have? /quote]

    I have a P228 9mm.

I have thought about purchasing a full sized Sig, but I think I want a 1911 first and will probably go with Kimber.

Sig makes such a good gun I don't have much desire to own similar style autos from other companies even if they are less expensive.

A friend of mine has a Beretta 92FS though, and it is very nice to shoot. My bro has a Walther P99, and while I like the hammerless design and the quick follow up shots if you can keep the trigger back using the sear pin you can empty a clip extremely fast. I still shoot better with my P228 though, and the mostly polymer frame makes the Walther feel like it recoils more than my pistol even though it's larger.

Very nice. P228 is one of the more sought after Sigs right now. I have one, but I'm terrible at shooting it.

If you haven't made up your mind yet on a 45, try a P220 or a Springfield Mil Spec. I have a P220 and it is very pleasant to shoot. Springfield Mil Spec is pretty close to the 1911 type pistol the military used for decades. I prefer military gear.

The thing I've heard about Kimber is the quality has suffered in recent years, making them overpriced.
Trust me. I know what I am doing.
