    Photo editing program for novices

My mother in law just bought her first digital camera and wants to be able to edit photos on her computer. She knows of photoshop but I am afraid it might be too much for her to comprehend. Can anyone recommend a simple to use editing suite that comes with a low price tag (free if possible)?

I think Google has one...Picasa or something.

    There's always the free GIMP.
Trust me. I know what I am doing.

The camera probably comes with something too, although it's probably not as rich as the others mentioned above.

very simple viewer/editor.. Can take care of simple cropping/rotating tasks and reads pretty much any format. Lightweight to boot!

How much exactly does Microsoft pay you for every *.live.com link you post?
