Not going to lie, that pic where he has the cross hairs lined up with the door like he's waiting for someone to roll through the door is a bit disturbing.

    Lookin' good!

Just remember these two simple words: Bullet Button.

I just finished building one from scratch myself. I'll post a pic after chongo does, though. Not looking to steal his thunder.

Dude, go ahead and post, I'd love to see it. My lower is being shipped to the FFL today or tomorrow, so I've AT LEAST got another 10-12 days before I can put this beast together.

Give me a part listing when you do post. I'll do the same when it's complete.

Edit: And ya, BButton is already ordered.

    Stag Arms Lower - $109.00
    http://www.ddsranch.com/cart/index.p...100i59g6rnas60

I kinda splurged on the LPK. Got a RRA 2 stage trigger. - $170
    http://www.adxtactical.com/store/pc/...?idproduct=318

Although, I'm using a 3rd party pistol grip and trigger guard, so that's more $$$ on top of the $170.

Yep, those are pretty 'spensive. I bought a cheapy off eBay to mess around with, but it's a piece of crap. Stalker's optic seems like a good middle ground between price and quality. What is that Stalker, a Nikon? My M4 needs some mod lovin'...

Unless you only want to shoot close range, get an ACOG 4x =)

    EOTECH is pretty sexy though...

Here is what I aim to get next year with taxes.

Ok, so I just read up on the whole bullet button fiasco.

And to to think I felt bad about your clip sizes.

And chongo, I know DPMS hasn't been producing the best crap lately, but I want something I can beat up in the desert.

Not fond of dropping $1600 on something nice to break.

(I know... it's huge and shitty...)

    Parts list:

    1 x Kaiser Defense stripped lower receiver - $165.00
    1 x Spike's Tactical M4 Flat Top upper - $115.00
    1 x Gas tube, rifle - $ 13.50
    1 x YHM-9386A Single Rail Gas Block - $64.00
    1 x Colt Barrel, 20", 5.56 NATO - $220.00
    1 x Smith Enterprise Vortex G6A2 Muzzle Device - $51.00
    1 x MagPul MBUS Back-Up Sights (Black) - $90.00
1 x Yankee Hill Smooth Rifle Forearm w/ Full Bottom Rail - $160.00
    1 x Dan Young National Match M16 BCG - $240.00
    1 x Charging Handle - $25.00
    1 x Bullet Button & Bullet Tool Combo - $29.49
    1 x Ergo Rigid Ambi-Grip - $17.99
    1 x LPK - $70.00
    1 x Carbine Receiver Extension - $41.97
    1 x Stag Arms Carbine Buffer - $10.99
    1 x Stag Arms Carbine Action Spring - $4.49
    3 x Magpul 30 Round Magazine .223/5.56mm - $60

    Total: $1471.43

I modified the PMags with thin-walled brass tubing so they only accept 10 rounds. It sucks, but it's worth it. I have since bought 6 20-rd PMags and modded them as well.

Also, to anyone contemplating a Cali-legal AR, if you haven't gone to http://www.calguns.net yet, do so. With a little time and even the littlest of mechanical knowledge, you can build an AR any friggin' way you want. The amount of different AR parts out there rivals Ipod accessories on the market.

    Nice build!

As he said, calguns.net has all the info you need to know. AR15.com has a lot of crazy good info, but more generalized to ARs.

Here's the goodies I received today.

20 rnd Magpul PMAGs (Modified for 10 rnd capacity)
    VLTOR E-Mod
Not shown, Magpul enhanced trigger guard

I like those 10/30 mags of yours, but hate seeing the spring through the window :(

A dude on calguns.net sticks brass (permanent) inside the windowed part of the mag. Still 10 round capacity, but gives it a full look.
