    Cheap AR Ammo

Here's some quality cheap .223 - just got a box of this:

    http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/catalo...3-556-fmj-ammo

I've been watching AmmoEngine.com for several weeks and this is the best deal I've seen in a while. Anyone seen any better deals?

Shipping was $20 or so. I still think it's a great deal. Mil-spec and the bullet won't attract a magnet.

I paid right under that - shipped - about 6 weeks back.

Decent deal, but you might be able to find better.

    Stocking up due to AB962?

Hmm, I hadn't been thinking of the new law but now that you mention it, maybe I'll buy some more.

Mostly bought more due to some cousins visiting soon who have never fired a gun and I'm sure they'll want to go nuts at the range.

Please post if you find a good deal.

AB962 only affects handgun rounds. Of course out of state vendors just might not ship anything at all to cut down on the hassle.

If you want to stockpile for World War Z, just go with the cheap Wolf ammo. I mean, by that time, no one would care.
Trust me. I know what I am doing.

Correct. Many out of state merchants may not sell to CA at all, due to fear, uncertainty and/or doubt of our laws.

Good thing we have out of state people that can forward it to us.

That might be illegal. Also, I would never ship you or anyone else high-cap mags. Especially, two 30-round mags for your AR-15. That would be ILLEGAL.

I cant wait for the handgun crime to go down since we have a new law that will protect us......

Speaking of ammo prices, S&W rep was at the local range with some toys, tried out the 460XVR. What a blast, the thing shoots so well. They charged me $10 for two rounds.

They are not "high-cap" magazines. They are normal capacity.

    10 rounders are "low-cap" mags.

When speaking of California, they are large-capacity magazines.

Who made is real? A magazine is a magazine and should be labeled by the number of rounds it holds and not a generic name of "low", "high", "standard", "normal".

When concerning the CA penal code, I do reference them as large-capacity magazines...

    "large-capacity magazine" means any
ammunition feeding device with the capacity to accept more than 10
    rounds

The gun was designed at first with 20 round mag, and later, 30 round mag in the A2 version.

    A Glock 17 was designed with a 17 round mag. A 33 rounder for a G17 is "large capacity." A 10 rounder for a G17 is "low capacity."

A 1911 was designed with a 7 rounder. A 10 rounder would be "high capacity" for this gun.

Politicians can choke on their definitions.

Just shoot .22 and you can have a 100 round magazine!

So wait, according to you a 1911 with a 10 round magazine is a "low-high capacity" magazine then right?

So for an AR-15 set up to shoot .458 socom, what magazines are considered what by your definition?

The word is too generic when applying it to specific fire arms.
